The village of Santo Domingo is an important stop on the medieval pilgrimage route to Santiago. The former pilgrim's hospital has been converted into a luxurious parador which we will call home for the next few nights. The cathedral is home to a pair of live chickens in homage to a local legend which suggests that the judge's dinner stood up and crowed to save a pilgrim wrongly accused of theft. |
