Plazandreok wants to take on a new challenge: to participate in European projects to promote equality between women and men. These projects are financed by the European Union and their development is conceded to institutions, associations, organizations and NGO’s. The concession is made by taking into account a series of criteria. The three most important are that the projects work from the bottom up, that they have a multiplication effect and that they include at least three transnational organizations.
Among the European projects different themes related to equal opportunities are dealt with. One of these themes is political participation, for which we have designed a first outline of what we would like to do in this area. e believe that organizations like ours, which have been working for equal opportunities for some time, are the most adequate social agents for carrying out projects of these characteristics.
It also seems to us that access to this type of resource could be an opportunity to create and consolidate organizational networks of women whose work has common objectives.
