Fede Merino (1943) Carlos Merino (1970). Father and son. Photographers.

We have joined our knowledge and our strength since we first met, occasionally working together since 1986 and continuously since 1987.

We use chemical and digital back up for image creation and edition. We choose in most situations to use black and white because we consider it the most fitting to show the Secret Essence of Things.

We carefully positivize our originals because we understand that the photographer must be his own work's player, knowing that in the negative, like a music score, everything is written but the fundamental.

In the technical area, we get to the Reality with respect and quietness, trying to surprise her in her whole truth and greatness. We declare ourselves lovers of natural light, which shows Existence blooming and impenitent users of Nikon, TRI X, Rodinal, Ilford…
