EXPERT IN LEGAL TRANSLATIONS
"FROM SPANISH TO ENGLISH"
The most important consideration in order to obtain an accurate
translation is that the professional who does the translation
works towards his mother tongue.
The
second most important consideration when doing a technical translation
is that the translator is trained in the speciality so as to
be able to understand the context and is able to communicate
the message with the same degree of competence as the original.
As a lawyer I have worked with all kinds of legal documents
e.g. contracts, legislation, court decisions etc.....in English.
And also in Spanish through working and studying in the legal
world.
I have 7 years experience doing this type of translations.
I do all of the translations myself. The translation agencies on the other hand
subcontract with unpredictable results.
Due to the fact that I live in Spain and therefore can not practise as a
lawyer I work as a legal translator.
I have practiced as a lawyer (Barrister) in London where I gained experience
in a wide variety of cases. More details in my CV.
Actually my second chambers (office) was opposite the Royal
Courts of Justice which can be seen in the photo, so this scene has a lot of
memories for me. The RCJ contains the High Court and the
Court of Appeal.
