This page has been created by Ander Guaza with the sole intention of facilitating the altigraphic knowledge of a number of climbing rides which are feasible on a road bicycle, some of which are more widely known than others.

The cooperation of Juanto Uribarri (a fan of cycling on steep roads), taking note of data, has been essential in process of making the profiles and their descriptions. As for me, my main job has been to process those data on the computer and to draw the graphics using them .

Most data were taken while climbing on the bicycle, since they are more reliable in this way, and heights were measured every 100 or 200 metres. The instruments used for this purpose were the following: a ciclocomputer with a fitted-in altimetre (CATEYE CC-AT100), a clinometre (SKY MOUNTI) and a mini-recorder. And a lot of physical effort and enthusiasm.

We began this task by processing the customary climbing routes in our rides (especially those which had not been published before) and now we take our instruments along with us whenever we go.
